York Williams encourages interested law students to apply to our summer associate program.  The work assigned to summer associates goes beyond office-bound research and writing.  Summer associates can expect to attend and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings and trials—the real meat of litigation.  Summer associates have client contact and real-life responsibilities as they assist attorneys with such tasks as client interviews and trial preparation.  Summer associates also benefit from opportunities to network and socialize with the firm’s partners, associates and staff throughout their time with the firm.  York Williams wants its summer associates to get realistic exposure to what it really means to practice law, and we hire our summer associates with the hope that they will choose to consider York Williams as a career option after graduation.
